  1. MOKE 1.1 Installation (See Chapter 3 of moke.doc for more detailed

  4. 1. Make a directory named \kanji at the root. (If you have more
  5. than one drive 
  6.    you'll have to use MOKE on only one of them. The next version
  7. will allow
  8.    MOKE to be available from any drive.)

  13. 2. Copy all files to \kanji.

  15.    copy a:\*.* c:\kanji

  17. 3.a  Run install.bat by typing install in the \kanji directory
  18.      (Answer No to any OVERWRITE questions from zoo)

  24.      jis24.zoo was split to fit on 360k disks. To reconstruct:

  26.      Copy /b jis24.a+jis24.b jis24.zoo

  32. 4. Edit the moke.rc file to specify your configuration. Such as
  33. "graphicstype",
  34.    which dictionary to use.

  37.    Note: You must specify the graphics type if you are not running
  38. a hercules
  39.          monitor.

  41. 5. MOKE should now be runable.

  46. 6. I have provided some sample JUNET Usenet files. If you have not
  47. specified
  48.    a codetype of JIS use the "-j" switch to read the JUNET files.

  55. 7.1    the kanjips code is useful if you have a postscript printer.
  56. To make
  57.     a postscript file out of a Japanese file do the following.

  61. 7.2   I have provided a demo copy of a version of MOKE that is
  62. still
  63.       undergoing development. All of the bugs are not worked out
  64. yet and
  65.       the version is still not complete, consequently I have
  66. disabled
  67.       the file saving code of MOKE.

  69. 7.3   I have also provided "kg" a kanji quiz program that is also
  70. still 
  71.       under development. It uses the edict file for the vocabulary
  72. that
  73.       is found in the \kanji directory.

  75. 7.4   Please note that the WNNDICT (and wsktok) dictionaries have
  76. are not
  77.       being distributed with MOKE 1.1 as of July 1st, 1990. The
  78. reason for
  79.       this is financial. The $10 or $15 (includes paper copy of
  80. manual)
  81.       I original asked for does not cover real costs. I will still
  82. honor
  83.       all requests however, but the distribution will be cut from
  84. 6 360k
  85.       floppies to 4. MOKE still works as advertised but the SKKJIS
  86. is
  87.       not as complete as the wnndict.
